My Garmin Forerunner 210 was at times out of commission(o.o.c.) or I did not use it properly
as in forgetting to punch the keys, low batt, etc. causing my incomplete info. My apologies.
On exercises/stretches, I do them before and after my runs. After a race, at times I forget or get
get carried away and don't do them even so with cooling down which I regret especially
when I get those nasty sores, aches & pains later. Occasionally, at home I also do weights,
stationary biking, use the inversion table and do exercises/stretches. Our high school coach, Mr. Jaime
Pimentel always required us to do exercises before doing our practices at the Burnham Park Athletic
Bowl. That was 3 scores ago and now it has more or less stuck into me. Thanks to the late Mr. J.P.
Bart Yasso invented the Yasso 800 which predicts marathon time based on how long it takes you to
run 800 meters, like if one runs 800 meters in 2 mins. 50 secs.; marathon time will be 2 hours, 50 mins.
give or take some minutes. Mr. Yasso is a tough athlete and is inducted into the Running USA Hall of
Champions. He is presently with the Runners World Magazine and also dubbed the"Mayor of Running".
Ten Yasso 800s is the suggested ideal training regimen but I have been doing only 2. When and if I get
stronger, maybe I can at least do half. Any way, I find it a good training regimen for me and is a close
prediction of my marathon times. Much obliged to Mr. Yasso.
Whew! almost caught up with my blog and lots to things to learn blogging. Until next time, my best
regards to all. Keep walking, jogging and running.......
